Unexpected Italy Pt2

Continued from above...

Selfie failure. Waterproof pants success.

Heading back down I met this guy! Turns out there's lots of beavers here but they're frustratingly fast!

At the car park the clouds were thoroughly in which only led to more amazing photos.

I jumped on my bike and headed back down, stopping this time to take some (many) photos of the road. Whilst I'd been running around in the snow the car park had cleared and the was little to no traffic up here!

Sadly the whole road down wasn't twisties, part of the road is tunnelled (to keep the snow out?) but thankfully there are random maintenance ports to stop and soak up some daylight!

Continuing downhill until I hit the Mediteranean Sea I reach my stop for the night; the port town of Genoa.

Unfortunately its raining and the streets and walkways have been polished by hundreds of years of boots and are very slippery in the rain, as I found out...falling down this hill...thankfully I'd parked at the top so the bike was ok!

Finally reaching my B&B (googlemaps had the right street but the wrong end) I was showered and back into town in search of souveniers!

Unfortunately the ONE thing I was looking for wasnt in stock at this store so I had to settle for dinner. 20 Euro ($36aud) gets you 'all you can eat' at a sushi restaurant and so I at my fill! Continuing down to the docks I stumbled across a food truck festival!

But already very full I settled for a locally produced beer, which was pretty good given the Riviera is typically a wine region.

Continuing along the docks I found this; frustratingly not for sale but next time I have a free weekend perhaps I'll knock one up?
